Day.1   

Arrival in Moscow. Traditional Russian “Bread & Salt” welcome at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast. Sightseeing city tour including visit to the memorial on the Poklonnaya Hill. Just on this hill in 1812 Napoleon waited for the delegation of Muscovites with the keys to the city. But townfolks never went cap in hand. The construction of the memorial and the park in honor of the Victory in the second World War took 30 years and was finished in 1991. The tour of the Kremlin (a Cathedral and the Armory Chamber, known for unique collection of munitions from the 14th through the 19th centuries).Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast. Visit to the Military Academy named after Frunze (tour of the Academy’s museum, meeting with instructors). Trip to Monino (36 km away from Moscow) for the tour of the open air Museum of the Russian Aircraft. Return to Moscow. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast. Visit to Zvezdny (30 km away from Moscow), the world’s only training center of astronauts. Visit to the Museum of the Borodino Battle of 1812. Dinner at a city restaurant. Transfer to the train station. Overnight train (2nd class, 4 passengers in a compartment) to St. Petersburg.

Day 5

Arrival in St.Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Sightseeing tour of the city including Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery, the burial place of the victims of the Siege of Leningrad. The tour of the Peter & Paul’s Fortress and Cathedral. Visit to the Avrora battleship (launched in St.Petersburg in 1903). Blank shots from the cruiser in October 1917 are said to have given the signal to start storming by Bolshevicks the Winter palace, the seat of the Kerensky Provisional Government those days, making Avrora somewhat of a Soviet shrine. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

Breakfast. The tour of the State Hermitage Museum. Trip to Pushkin, the former summer residence of the Tsars, for the tour of the Catherine’s Palace with its famous Amber Room. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7

Breakfast. The trip to Kronstadt, Russia’s first naval base located on an island in the Gulf of Finland. The tour of the city, including visit to a submarine turned into a museum. Dinner at a city restaurant.

Day 8

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
