Hotel Arctica in Murmansk to be reconstructed17.11.2011 |
| The famous landmark hotel of the Russian city of Murmansk - world's largest human settlement beyond the Polar Circle will be reconstructed and reopened in 2013. 18-floor Arctica hotel is currently the tallest building in the world in the Arctic region. It was built in 1972-1984. The 72 metres tall building can accommodate 1030 guests. The cost of renovation is 1,4 billion rubles. When reopened, it will have 191 comfortable modern rooms and business centre with conference hall. The historical facade of the hotel will be preserved during renovation. |
