Russian Railways are about to start selling ticketsfor the rapid-speed train Sapsan (Falcon), which will be the fastesttrain in Russia. The first rapid-speed line will start operatingbetween Moscow and St.Petersburg from 11 December 2009. The ticketswill cost from 2400 rubles (, EUR 62) to 6700 rubles (1, EUR171). The trains, manufactured by Siemens AG will be running at speed250-350 km/h and can make the distance between the two Russiancapitals (about 650 km) for 3 hours 45 minutes.
