This rather budget hotel was built in 1970 under the name "Leningrad" (renamed "Saint Petersburg" in 1991). The imposing landmark building, overlooking Neva river offers a fabulous view of the historical part of the city. The nearest metro station "Ploshchad Lenina" is within a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Walking to the downtown is also possible though takes longer time. There is a big congress hall for 797 seats attached to the hotel as well as a number of smaller conference venues. The spacious Winter Garden restaurant can easily accomodate large number of guests and offers superb view over the river.
