The Trinity Church in Nikitniki
Built (1634) in Kitay-gorod by a merchant from Yaroslavl, Gregory Nikitnikov, the church has a fairy-tale look because of its design and exterior decoration. A wide porch adjoins the church on the southwestern side, and a two-tier gallery leads to a bell-tower. The interior decoration matches the splendid exterior. For many years the Trinity Church in Nikitniki was the model to follow for many churches in Moscow.
